Rana’s main areas of interest are relationship therapy (she is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for relationships and individuals) and the treatment of developmental and attachment trauma. She also specialises in providing therapy for other therapists and is passionate about supporting those who support others.

Although Rana is a classically trained Cognitive Behaviour Therapist through the University of Queensland, since graduation she has added training and expertise across a range of modalities, including in particular Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples and Individuals, and Sensorimotor Therapy for complex trauma. She continues to love her work as a psychologist and thrives on the challenges and new learning that it throws at her daily. She believes it is the most amazing privilege to sit down with her clients and gently guide them through the process of change; and Rana hopes to be still doing this when she is 80 years old.

Personally, Rana lives locally in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland with her partner and school-aged children. You will see her out and about imperfectly going about the business of being a wife, mother and human. Bickering with her husband, dealing imperfectly with her own sensory overwhelm or her kids’ dysregulation- but always working on doing it a little better next time.
